Alice Rose Clover Child Development Center

The construction of our Alice Rose Clover Child Development Centre was completed by the end of May 2021, in line with Corona’s new schedule. Our team in the Philippines moved into the new premises on 8 June 2021 and held a small celebration to mark the centre’s opening.

Once completed, the social therapy prevention and intervention centre will provide therapy rooms for the more than 50 children of our Children’s Village, over 700 supported children and adolescents from several poor neighbourhoods in the city, and other victims of sexual and/or physical violence and extreme neglect. Many of the children urgently need psychological and social therapeutic support to deal with their traumas and to lead as normal a life as possible after rehabilitation. In addition to caring for the children and young people already supported by the sponsorship programme, the centre will also serve as a contact point for other victims.

In addition to the therapy rooms, the centre will also house our administration, a conference room and two rooms for volunteers from abroad. On the ground floor, a shop owned by the relief organisation and a bakery will contribute sustainably to the longer-term financing of our charitable projects.
