Sponsorships at Island Kids Philippines

With a sponsorship at Island Kids Philippines you help to transform the life of an entire community according to their needs and thus to change it for the better. Both children and adults in the community in Landfill (two slum settlements next to the former garbage dump) and other (slum) settlements in the city of Cagayan de Oro City on Mindanao benefit from this.

• Thanks to education and graduation, children can escape the cycle of poverty and achieve a responsible self-determined life.
• Parents are instructed (e.g. hygiene, birth certificates, human trafficking) and assisted in the processes of change. They learn how to protect themselves and their children against exploitation and violence.
• Fight against human trafficking and help for victims of physical and/or sexual violence.
• Street kids, respectively their families, receive food, education and support in order to escape their situation.
• In crisis situations we can offer help from our funds.

We offer three different kinds of sponsorship:

Sponsorship «Care Place»

Financing the monthly costs of living and education of a child in the Children’s Village.

SFR 90.-/€ 75.- per month

Sponsorship «Education Place»

Financing the monthly costs of education of a child who lives with an extended family.

SFR 50.-/€ 40.- per month

Project Sponsorship

Support to improve the living conditions of the whole Community, and for several ongoing projects.
